Fenton Quest eBook M E Mary Elizabeth Braddon
An interesting novel of two very good friends with a longstanding relationship. Fenton falls in love but uexpectedly has to travel abroad. On his return he is disturbed to find his sweetheart married to another. The story has many characters and circumstances that contribute in some way to the story as Martin searches out the mystery surrounding the husband of the woman he still loves. Some parts drag somewhat but it all works to a happy final resolution.Product details

Fenton Quest eBook M E Mary Elizabeth Braddon Reviews
Another terrific one by Mary Elizabeth Braddon!
In this one, all the twists and turns kept me half crazy! But it was a FUN kind of crazy. LOVED IT!
Good insight into being a gentleman or being "in-trade". This book is a page turner and trying to guess at the next turn can lead to surprise.
Great read, I really enjoyed this book.
Modern writers could take lessons from this excellent novel.
M. E. Braddon is a very accomplished writer from the Elizabethan era.
There's a lot here to like. In fact more than half of the book is absorbing, enthralling reading. There is even poetry in some of the writing. But a fair amount bogs down in unconvincing nobility and dated attitudes.
A fun plot, but a little longer than necessary. I always have to remind myself that when this was written in an era when folks had no entertainment but books and the longer the better. I think you will find the story entertaining.
I still have a number of this authors' books I haven't read, but Fenton's Quest, I have, and it's excellent. She wrote "Lady Audley's Secret", which I read and started me on my journey of reading her books - a very prolific writer. She portrays people in an understandable light, as no super heroes, but just people going about their lives in an every day sort of fashion. Yet, her books are not all good, so I don't try to read just for the sake of saying I've read all her books. This one, though, I can recommend.
