Posing Mastery Sitting Kneeling Lying Down On Target Photo Training Book 15 eBook Dan Eitreim

This master photographer-writer provides a great introductory manual for us "clickers" who don't have time to go too in-depth. I suppose to some readers it's too simple. But for me, and I'm sure many like me, it's an ideal start. And the price is right too.

THE OVERALL SHAPE sets the foundation -- "I" Pose, "C" Pose, and "S Pose. What could be simpler! Then THE ZIG ZAG-- "Sitting and Kneeling -- It's the Angles that Matter." The 4 Basic Sitting and Kneeling Silhouettes and "Mixed Posing" -- all are basic, true, but also principles that so many photographers don't understand. The photos and drawings used to illustrate the techniques may not be striking, but they work very well, and a few are beautiful treats. Then the "Photo Exercises" and the "Notebook Advice" provide an on-going learning experience. The latter half of this book introduces 23 more volumes in this series of "Keys to Better Photography." I think the most inspiring would be HOW TO PAY THE RENT WITH YOUR CAMERA -- THIS MONTH!

Posing Mastery Sitting Kneeling Lying Down On Target Photo Training Book 15 eBook Dan Eitreim Reviews

It was a 'free' download. After taking a look at it, I certainly understand the price. Don't bother with this piece of trash unless you are offered money to download it!
Even as a professional photographer, I have learned many things from Dan's tips and books. Posing is a tricky subject, as it is something that looks effortless but actually takes a lot of thought, technique and practice. Dan explains all of these with simple illustrations and clear, concise instructions. His e-books don't take days or weeks to slog through. He gets right to the point and isn't trying to sell you on expensive and/or unnecessary equipment. Thank you Dan, keep up the great work!
This helped a great deal in posing adults and older children for natural looking portraits. It was easy to follow and I loved the example photos and exercises that are included. I did find however that most of the techniques are useless with toddlers which is unfortunate for me because I happen to be a preschool teacher and take a great deal of photographs of our children for their parents.

Over all I would recomend this as a reference guide to first read and then keep handy when working with people so you can get that perfect posed shot.
This book helped me alot. Not only did it help me pose other people, but now I know how to pose for pictures taken at family events and with my friends. The pictures I take and the ones I am in look so much better.
As I first started reading through this book, I thought it was only going to be about the basic posing shapes. I was wrong! Dan provides the basic posing shapes as a beginning point, then builds on those by providing practical practice steps so the reader can master the poses and the situations where those poses would best be used. As many of us have seen, the basic group shot of heads is no longer the norm. Nor is the graduation picture the same, with many photographers using nature as a great backdrop, posing students sitting on logs, standing against buildings, etc. This book provides many tips for such poses. Thanks, Dan!
This book explains posing of human body in simple terms of I shape, S and the C shape, angle of the human face, body, arms and legs. I owe half a dozen posing books. Most of them show photos of various posing with very little explanation as to why and what the poses are all about. After reading this book, I am able to quickly identity unflattering pose and make correction before pressing the shutter of camera. Posing is about line, shape and form of human face and body in photo, also is body language expressing the subject and the photographer. This book lacks of explanation of how posing as a body language, otherwise, I will give it a 5 star rating.
This IS a great book on how to pose for pictures. It gives a lot of detail about the shapes and what to look for. Honestly, I can see some of them and figure them out.... Others, I just don't see it! -/

I really like the examples given. Dan makes it easy to learn with his series.
